Apple French Toast

tart apples, peeled and sliced |

Spray baking dish with nonstick spray. Cook sugar and butter. Pour into baking dish. Spread apple slices over this. Slice bread into 3/4 inch slices and place on top of apple slices. Whisk together remaining ingredients and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered for 50 minutes in preheated 350 degree F. oven.
Serve apple side up by either flipping entire pan or one serving at a time.
